Pastroral Leadership Team
To provide leadership and direction to the Parish's efforts to live out the mission of Jesus Christ in the community and therefore the world.
Baptism Team
To facilitate and assist parents/guardians to organise and prepare for their child's baptism into God's family.
This ministry is done when the need arises and on an individual basis with the family, whose member is to be baptised into the parish family of St Theresa’s Parish Plimmerton.
The process strives to encourage the family to full and active participation in the process and ceremony of baptism and the ongoing life of the parish.
At its heart is the understanding of parents/ guardians as the first and best teachers of the child's Christian faith and relationship with Jesus. Parents/guardians are guided to make an informed decision about baptism.
Parents are encouraged to have their child baptised during Eucharist. This, we feel, is the best expression of God's family that the child is being welcomed into. Ceremonies are celebrated during Sunday Eucharist celebrations at times convenient to the family and the parish.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
To provide a process within which adults wanting to become Catholics join Gods family at St Theresa's Parish.
Through prayer, study and sharing, this process aims to help those interested in Jesus Christ to develop a personal relationship with him. Having developed this relationship, they are encouraged to make an informed choice whether to be received into the Catholic Community.

Passionist Family Group
To be a family for all
Passionist Family Groups began in St Theresa’s in 2003. They take their name from a religious order of priests who in Australia began the movement which has since been introduced into the life of Catholic parishes in New Zealand including St Theresa’s Plimmerton.
The parish has a number of groups operating in the parish that involve a diversity of parishioners and their families.
The major aim is to encourage parishioners to get to know each other and for a sense of belonging care and support to be felt by each member of our parish community. The groups aim to meet monthly for an activity such as picnics, barbecues, games nights, walks, potluck dinners etc.
Groups are made up of families, singles, young, elderly.
Activities are either “no cost” or “low cost”.
Our Mission/Motto is “A Family For All” which means no one is excluded. Whatever a person’s faith tradition, or if someone is “just looking” they are very welcome!

Adoration of Blessed Sacrament
To build a powerhouse of prayer through prayer before the Blessed Sacrament
At St Theresa's we have regular Exposition and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. This is organised on an informal basis in St Theresa’s Church.
All parishioners are warmly encouraged to come and spend time with the Lord, praying for their own needs, the needs of the Parish, the community and the world.
The community also encourages prayer by having St Theresa’s Church open each day from approximately 8:30 am till about 5:30 pm for parishioners to spend time with the Lord on a more private basis.
Exposition is held in the Parish in St Theresa’s Church each Monday from 10:30 am to 1pm.
