God Loves a Cheerful Giver

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
From the earliest days of the Church, Christians have freely shared what they had so that the Gospel could be proclaimed and the Eucharist celebrated. St Paul's encouragement to the Corinthians was part of a collection to support the struggling Church in Jerusalem, reminding believers that generosity is a response to God's love, never an obligation. This spirit of stewardship has continued throughout the Catholic Church for almost two thousand years and remains a normal part of parish life across the world. As Catholics, we continue this tradition by freely offering our time, talents and treasure for the good of the Church and the service of God's people.

Giving to our parish is always voluntary. It is not a fee for attending Mass, receiving the sacraments, or taking part in parish life. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their financial circumstances. Any gift is simply a free offering made in gratitude to God and in support of the Church's mission.

Called to Support The Faithful

If you feel called to help provide the bread and wine that become the Body and Blood of Christ at the celebration of the Eucharist, we invite you to share in this ministry of stewardship. Your offering helps ensure that the gifts brought to the altar continue to nourish our parish community in faith.

You are welcome to make a donation by direct credit using the parish bank account below or by scanning the QR code. A donation of $30 covers the full cost of 1-week of Eucharistic Celebration at St Theresa's Plimmerton.
